Hey Puptopians! The weekend is officially (almost) here. It’s time to enjoy the fall with some fantastically fun and exciting weekend plans this October! Grab a leash and get your puppy out and about in NYC with these great dog-friendly events in the city this weekend. From Central Park Fair to DogFest, these are the places you and your pup should be this upcoming weekend!
My Dog Loves Central Park Fair
Central Park and Fair in the same sentence? We’re down for that! This Saturday head to Central Park with your pup and enjoy all the fun your pup can handle! Last year the event saw games, agility courses, dancing and a whole lot more. This year there’s even more in store for fair goers and their furry friends, like trainer tips, mini makeovers, pet selfies and micro-chipping. All in all, It’s set to be a fantastic event hosted by Central Park Paws, a program that benefits the dogs and dog owners who enjoy long walks and sunny days in Central Park.
The event runs from 11:00am until 3:00pm and is an on-lead event, so remember to put your pup on a leash before you head out for the day.
Find out more about My Dog Loves Central Park Fair here and check out www.centralparknyc.org for great information about Central Park and how it affects your puppy.
DogFest Walk ‘n Roll
It’s time for Canine Companion’s annual DogFest Walk ‘n Roll event! This Saturday the national event is taking place in Marjorie Post Park, Massapequa, NY. Of course the main event is the dog-friendly walk that kicks off at 11:00am. Register yourself and your pooch or get a team together and make it a group activity. There’s also a car show, tons of dog contests and workshops and even a Frisbee demonstration. We can tell your dog will love it! Entrance is free but registration fee applies for the walk. Support this great event and support the amazing cause of helping people with disabilities by providing them with highly trained dogs for companionship.
Things kick off at 11:00am with the last activity ending at 3:00pm. You can register here and find out more about the DogFest Walk ‘n Roll event right here.
